The Department of Civil Engineering is one of the oldest department of the Institute. The department has qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members, actively involved in teaching to produce competent and confident engineers. The department also conducts various technical activities such as technical seminars, guest lectures and student workshops for the benefit of students and to give them exposure of the recent trends in civil engineering. To make students abreast with the practical side of their course work, industry visits are carried out by the department. Beside this department has well equipped various laboratories and on request it offers material testing services to various organizations.
Major Labs: Auto CAD & Structure Analysis Lab, Drawing Lab, Environmental Engineering Lab, Fluid Mechanic Lab, Surveying Lab, Building Material Lab, Transportation Engineering Lab, Soil Mechanics Lab, Concrete Lab.
