The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a significant body within any higher education institution mandated by NAAC, that ensures continuous quality improvement and sustenance in in academic, administrative, and research. It acts as the central mechanism for planning, monitoring, and improving academic and institutional performance that complies with the guidelines of quality standards set by accrediting bodies such as NBA, NAAC in India or equivalent organizations in other countries.
Responsibility of the Committee:
- To understand the existing system and assess the strengths and weaknesses of the Institute and to suggest the methods for improvement and for overcoming the weaknesses.
- To identify the opportunities for academic reforms and examination reforms etc.
- To suggest the methods for continuous improvement of quality in Teaching and Learning.
Powers and Functions of the Committee
- Plan meetings to discuss various departmental issues with all HODs & give instructions accordingly.
- Ensure assignments, tests, quizzes, projects, lab experiments, are aligned to Course objectives and Outcomes.
- Prepare Assessment tools and methodology to assess both direct and indirect assessment.
- Ensure POs and PSOs are attained Monitor and evaluate continuous improvement in attainment of POs and PSOs for each program through direct and indirect assessment.
- Conduction of Academics Audits to maintain the standards of teaching learning process.
- Analyze and present Academic Audit report in the meeting of BOG.
- Preparation, execution and monitoring of Academic Plans/ Activities.
- Initiate the process of collection of various program level feedbacks from students.
- Ensure infrastructure and labs are maintained and are equipped with state of art equipment’s.
- Encouraging faculty for continuous learning, higher studies, skill development and active research.
